Placement of Alpha Dent Active Bio Implants in a Lower Jaw
Placement of Alpha Dent Active Bio Implants in a Lower Jaw
The patient had had bone augmentation before, so the doctor chose a triangular Active Bio implant, which is perfect for the clinical case by producing maximum anti-rotation effect.
Implantation plan:
- Pilot drilling. A drill ∅ 2.0, a stopper 11.5 mm.
- A burr ∅ 3.0.
- A conical drill 3.45.
- The implant in the distal field is 4.2, the implant in the mesial field is 3.75; the final burr is ∅3.9; the compact plate is processed with a two-stage expander. The first stage is ∅3.75 (for the mesial implant), the second one is ∅4.2 (for the distal implant).
- Implant placement.
- Perfect initial stability of the distal and mesial implants, the torque wrench is set at 40 and 45 Nm respectively.
- The distal implant is covered with collagen membrane at the top.
